Sterilization

The most important application of our technologies is the sterilization of medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, pharmaceutical products, and human tissue allografts.

The complete absence of viable germs is a basic requirement for a multitude of health-care products.

The advantages of sterilization with ionizing radiation stem from the fact that products can be treated in their final packaging and shipment configuration. Products are labeled and an instruction for use is included. In contrast to sterilization with ethylene oxide, expensive gas-permeable packaging material is not required, and the product is ready for use immediately after treatment – without any hold time for degassing.

Treatment with ionizing radiation is cost-efficient and safe. Sterilization is carried out by means of validated processes and following international guidelines and regulations for medical devices and medicinal products.
